The Story
A Legend is Born
The Château de la Croix Des Gardes was built in 1919 by Swiss industrialist, Paul Girod. A Florentine-style mansion sitting on the peak of the hill, surrounded by woodland and gardens, the ‘jewel’ of the elegant ‘Quartier des Anglais’.
An Inimitable Aesthetic
The Neo-Palladian Architecture
The classic shapes echo the grandeur of its past owners, while a soft, light palette is imbued with the style and sensibility that Cannes is known for.
The Landscape
Gardens cascade down the hill in a series of naturally polished greenery waterfalls. The landscape symmetry and equilibrium, the stone bordered ponds and exquisitely designed formal, calm the senses and soothe the mind.
La Belle Epoque Heritage
The Château is today the witness of a magical era, one people are still sentimental of. The Château exudes everything that characterized this era, making it an unparalleled place where past, present, and future merge.
